Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups for chappathi : atta


  • 1 tsp salt to taste


  • 1 cups water


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 4 nos for veg curry :potato


  • 2 nos onion


  • 4 nos green chillies


  • 1 tsp mustard


  • 2 nos dry chilly


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tsp pepper powder


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 1 pinch salt to taste

Directions

  • For chappathi : In a bowl add atta, salt and oil and mix well
  • Add water little by little and knead well into a soft dough
  • Cover and rest the dough for 20 minutes
  • Divide the dough into small balls then flatten to make round shaped chappathi with a rollin pin
  • Heat a flat pan on the stove.place chapathi on it after 2 minutes flip it to the other side
  • Cook both the sides on a medium flame
  • For veg curry :Boil the potatoes and smash well
  • Heat oil in a pan and add Mustard to splatter. Add dry chilly and curry leaves
  • Add finely chopped onion and Saute well
  • Once onion gets golden brown in colour,add smashed potatoes
  • Add the masalas and salt to the mix and cook a few seconds.
  • Add enough water and cook for 4 minutes by clossing the lid.
  • Serve with hot chappathi
